The Empowerment Project is a federally-funded project to conduct research and provide technical assistance on voting rights issues for people with disabilities. We study the implementation of the National Voter Registration Act; the voting rights laws affecting the right of disabled people to participate in the electoral process; and the effects of electoral reforms on participation rates of disabled people.
